Black Girl Healing: Balancing Strength and Vulnerability

  • Moving Body Resources 112 West 27th Street, Suite 402 New York, NY, 10001 United States (map)

We are strong black women.

We handle every situation and circumstance we are given with grace.
We act as a backbone for our friends and family.
We possess a mental toughness that is enviable, anyone who doesn’t know the truth:

We are strong, but we can’t be strong all the time.

We are strong, but we are also human - complex, multidimensional women with feelings, needs, and desires.

We are strong, but we pay the price with our health and well-being.

Come, sis!

Lay down your cloak of strength and explore the other facets of yourself in this 2-hour workshop facilitated by:

Jennifer Sterling, The Black Girl Healing project.png

Let’s celebrate our strength, and acknowledge the parts that are no longer serving us:

  1. Chronic Stress

  2. Lack of Self-Care

  3. Emotional Repression

(...feel free to add to this list)

In an effort to become more vital and resilient human beings.
